Description |
The 10/20/1911 Okanogan Independent reported "Local Pathfinders 'Hit The Trail'" which described the trip of the first automobile to go from town of Okanogan to Condon's Ferry. The photo's would have been taken on Oct. 16, 1911. The Harry Folmsbee EMF (Everitt, Metzger & Flanders) made the trip all the way to Condon's Ferry while the other two cars turned around at Cold Springs. One of the cars that turned around was an EMF owned by John Forsyth. Ira Freer owned the Locomobile which also turned around. The locomobile is on the left in this photo with fourteen of the men. |
