Description |
Digitally received scan of a postcard of the Walter May homestead purchased in 1911 on Tarheel Flat also known as Boston Heights area. This is the flat west of Okanogan below Spring Coulee which received irrigation water from Leader Lake and the Pleasant Valley Irrigation project. The tent frame structure was the original home. The structure coming from the left is the flume for the irrigation water. The numbers correspond with family information on the back of related cards with 9 indicating direction of Okanogan. On the horizon beyond the 9 is Omak Mountain making the view northeast. |
