Image 1 reads "Malott. Wash. SEP. '10 Frank Matsura Photo." Note in card catalog for 1638 says: T.J. Murray family lived in tent house while bulding home. Scene is of early Malott, photographed from east side of river. 1910 The photo for Images 2 & 3 were donated or information supplied by George Stewart, Spokane. Numbers and arrows to each building have been identified on the back as 1. Building erected by Frank Lovely, 2. Hildebrand Hotel, 3. Aug. Reimer store, 4. Helensdale Inv. Co. office, Geo. J. Stewart, agent, 5. Peter Reilly store and hall bldg. (destroyed by fire), 6. J. R. Everett residence, 7. J. O. Burdett residence, 8. M. W. Gavin home obscured by trees. This photo is taken from east bank of river looking west up Loup Loup Creek drainage. Negative sleeve: Malott Sept. 1910 |
